Golfers seeking to emulate the most stylish professionals in the game have been advised to look toward Tiger Woods and Ernie Els.Writing for Golf.com, columnist Woody Hochswender noted that, in today's game, it is a "rare treat" to see players clad in classic golf apparel.
He said that modern golf apparel is usually centred around stretch-fitted items, which he claimed are "almost glued to the body".
Mr Hochswender went on to state that Woods was at his "most elegant" at the US Open, held earlier this year at Pebble Beach.
"He was attired for one round in a beige crewneck pullover, white shirt, flowing ivory trousers, and sparkling white golf shoes," he said.
Mr Hochswender also claimed that despite being "notorious" for its bold colours, golf fashion can also convey a "kind of sartorial ease" when players scale back their garb and opt for a simple "monochromatic" appearance.
