Golfers urged to think about wildlife when donning golf shirt and taking to the course.

Wildlife charity the RSPB has teamed up with the golf body R&A to publish a book aimed at advising those who look after golf courses on how they can help to protect the UK's birds.Nigel Symes, from the RSPB, is the book's co-author and said that in the past, golf courses have had a bad reputation due to their supposed impact on the environment.
"The truth is that every golf course has potential to be a sanctuary for wildlife and to provide an important stepping stone for birds and other animals whose habitat is under threat," he claimed.
He said that across the UK, there are many golf clubs taking steps to try and protect the wildlife of the country.
The charity is now urging golf courses to put native plants on courses to help the cause, something which golf apparel clad golfers may have noticed their local golf club doing.
Meanwhile, ex-professional golfer Harold Skinner Graham recently told Silive.com that when taking to the course, even if gamers cannot play well they should dress in smart golf fashion.
