John Daly turned heads in the first round of the Verizon Heritage yesterday (April 15th) by sporting a pair of dazzling purple golf trousers combined with a bright yellow performance golf shirt.The event is currently taking place at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Daly managed to shoot a par 72 for the opening 18 holes and now faces a battle - and the need to hole some birdies - to make the cut, which is projected at par, for the weekend.
K J Choi, however, showed no hangover from his successful Masters Tournament last week, in which he finished tied for fourth place with Tiger Woods.
Dressed in more conservative golf apparel than his American counterpart - a pink performance golf shirt and dark golf trousers - the South Korean shot an opening-round seven-under 64.
Mike Weir and Greg Owen both entered the club house in second place after carding 66.
