Grey golf clothing was most prominent in Ernie Els' outfit recentlySouth African player Ernie Els appeared at the presentation of his Race to Dubai golfer of the month award dressed head to toe in grey golf clothing, apart his shoes, which were white.

The legendary golfer was presented with the accolade by European Tour chief executive George O'Grady on the first tee at the Wentworth Club - a course he has helped to redesign ahead of the BMW PGA Championship due to begin there tomorrow (May 20th).

Els teamed a casual, dark grey T-shirt with grey golf trousers during the presentation, in which he was handed a plaque and a bottle of champagne.

"It has been too long since I last won this award and it is a great indication of how well I played to win the events at Doral and Bay Hill," remarked the golfer.

Changes to the Wentworth Course did not go down well with English golfer Paul Casey, who suggested that some layouts should be treated like listed buildings.
