There may be more interest in golf fashion in several European countries after it was revealed that five candidate countries have put in bids to host the 2018 Ryder Cup.Spain, Germany, France, Holland and Portugal have submitted their applications and there may be increased demand for Ryder Cup shirts for whichever nation is chosen.
Glenmuir is an official European Ryder Cup supplier, making this decision by the evaluation panel a significant announcement.
In an attempt to lure the competition to their homeland, many top class golfers have been involved in each country's bid such as Spanish legend Seve Ballesteros, but other athletes not often pictured in golf apparel have been involved as well, like footballers Oliver Kahn and Iker Casillas.
The upcoming Ryder Cup competition is due to be played in Wales in October, with European team captain Colin Montgomerie tasked with the challenge of picking the best side to face the US.
