Fans are to get the chance to dress Hertfordshire golfer Ian Poulter in golf apparel.As part of a campaign in the lead-up to the Accenture Match Play Championships, tournament officials announced the launch of the event, where Poulter's golf clothing for his first round at Arizona's Ritz-Carlton golf club will be decided.
Fans can vote on Facebook for one of three options, which will then be sported by the 34-year-old on February 23rd 2011.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what fans choose for me to wear as I set out to defend my World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship title," said Poulter.
Wade Dunagan, executive director of the Accenture Match Play Championship, expressed his excitement at the partnership with Poulter - claiming the player has been an "international ambassador" for the sport.
In a recent blog post, Khaki Crusader columnist Annmarie Dodd promoted the 'signature' option, citing a photograph of Poulter decked out in similar golf apparel as evidence for her choice.
