Swedish golfer Fredrik Andersson Hed will have been on cloud nine when he won the BMW Italian Open at the weekend and he chose a daring combination of bold and neutral colours on his golf clothing as he received the trophy. It is the player's first European Tour win, but he may have been sweating a little in his light grey golf sweater, since Brit David Horsey almost caught up with him on the final day of the competition.
But Andersson Hed ended up two strokes ahead of the Englishman and looked ecstatic as he raised the trophy, contrasting his grey men's knitwear with a bold blue collared shirt and a bright white cap.
He started the final day in Turin six strokes ahead of the chasing pack, but found himself level with Horsey on the 13th and was able to claim the title because the Brit dropped two shots over the final five holes.
The next stop on the European Tour begins on May 13th in Mallorca, when the Iberdrola Open Cala Millor Mallorca kicks off.
