Whistling Straits suffered heavy fog
Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher claimed he was pleased with the start to his first day at the USPGA as he strutted his stuff in stylish golf apparel.

Even the fog, which caused a three-hour delay to the start of play, did not stop the 35-year-old from sporting a cool pair of golfer's sunglasses.

Gallacher went with a stylish striped number for his choice of golf shirt, complementing this with a matching hat.

A pair of dark golf trousers rounded off the outfit for the Scottish golfer who, despite a slow start, holed two birdies to soar into 15th place.

Finishing for 71 at Whistling Straits, Gallacher said the fog had obscured his vision until he reached the fifth hole.

He said: "You can go for the flags and for a Major it is playing relatively easy if you drive on the fairway and I did that today."

Following a highly successful amateur career, the Scottish golfer turned professional in 1995 and won the Dunhill Links Championship in 2004.
