Glenmuir to supply golf apparel to GB&I Walker Cup teamGolf fashion firm Glenmuir is set to supply golf apparel to the Walker Cup team for Great Britain and Ireland.

The Lanarkshire-based company will present amateur talent from across the two countries with golf clothing when they take to the fairways at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club this September.

Over 460 Dublin and Howth shirts are to be supplied to the team's players as they take on the USA in the 43rd Walker Cup.

Similarly, a variety of knitwear in Glenmuir's Finley and Lauder ranges will also be available for participants.

Marketing director for the firm Brian Mair expressed his delight at supporting the team, noting that his company has enjoyed a long relationship with the Ryder Cup.

"The talent in the team is extraordinary and we're very proud to be involved and tasked with making the players and officials look as smart and as well-prepared as possible," he said.

This comes after Glenmuir-sponsored player Paul Lawrie expressed disappointment regarding his performance at the recent World Match Play Championships on his official blog.
