Glenmuir-sponsored player shares Hong Kong Open experiencesGlenmuir-sponsored golfer Paul Lawrie has shared some of his experiences at this year's Hong Kong Open.

Writing on his website's blog, the Scottish player told of his time at the Singapore Open, where despite getting off to a good start, Lawrie found himself three-putting the 15th and 16th before bogeying the final hole.

The Glenmuir-sponsored 41-year-old then told of his trip to the event in Hong Kong and the focus of his practice sessions.

"I flew from Singapore to Hong Kong last night, I had a quick beer with Al Forsyth," he said. "I spent most of the day on the putting green."

Lawrie then went on to tell of his first day of the event, observing that he played "nicely", hitting two under par for 68.

He also revealed that he would be spending his evening watching the Tudors on DVD.

After turning professional at the age of 17, with no amateur career to his name, Lawrie's performance went to strength to strength - with a place in the 1999 Ryder Cup and an Open win in the same year.
