Golf fashion icon Rickie Fowler has been named as a player to watch in a forthcoming event.Writing for the Arizona Republic, columnist Peter Corbett noted that the Waste Management Phoenix Open returns to the PGA Tour this year and pointed out the number of big names appearing on the field.
He hailed Rickie Fowler as one of his players to watch at the event, noting the 22-year-old is well known for his "bold" golf fashion statements.
Mr Corbett went on to ponder if Fowler would turn up in green golf apparel if he made it to the event's first Green Out.
He added Camilo Villegas to his list, noting that the Colombian is also celebrated for his golf fashion sense.
Score Golf columnist Bob Weeks recently posted a blog item on the sheer amount of golf clothing on display at the PGA Merchandise Show.
"There's roughly one million square feet of exhibit space being filled with clubs, balls and bags at one end, clothing at the other," he said.
