A golf fashion writer has re-examined the US Ryder Cup team's apparel failure.

Players from the US 2010 Ryder Cup team have hit back at claims that their waterproof gear failed them during this year's event.Writing for the PGA, golf fashion columnist the Man in the Black Hat examined the remarks of US team members and noted that many players found no issue with their waterproof golf clothing.
He quoted Stewart Cink on the issue, who said: "It was raining so hard, they took on a little bit of water, because just about any rain suit in the world will do that."
Similarly, Dustin Johnson was quoted as saying the golf apparel was "great" and Bubba Watson followed suit with claims that he loved the gear.
However, the Man in the Black Hat questioned the reasoning behind the US team quickly purchasing replacement waterproof golf clothing from the European team's suppliers if no apparel could stand up to the Welsh weather.
In a recent blog post, the Khaki Crusader defended the golf clothing choices of US Ryder Cup team captain Corey Pavin and his wife Lisa for the US team's uniforms this year.
