Additional golf apparel is required for winter play in Harrisonberg.

Golf apparel is needed by players in Harrisonberg, Virginia, it has been claimed. In a recent Breeze JMU article, columnist Megan Harman spoke to captain of the James Madison University team Michael Smith, who compared playing locally with games on his home course in Florida.
"The winter temperature in Harrisonburg requires a lot more clothing and makes a sport, such as golf, even harder," Ms Harman observed.
Her comments came in the lead-up to the annual Jacksonville University Invitational at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course in Florida, where Mr Smith's family owns a property.
He predicted that the warm weather would be an advantage to the university team, noting that they will not need to wear so much golf apparel when they take to the fairways in the Sunshine State.
Last month, Golf Channel columnist Win McMurry noted the vast array of golf clothing on offer at the recent PGA Merchandise Show.
