New Zealand strokeplay champion James Gill is looking to golf apparel to help him take on players on the world stage.

While golf apparel may not seem the obvious way to rule the world, James Gill is planning to use it as he conquers the global golf game, it has emerged.The New Zealand strokeplay champion has entered into a deal with golf apparel producer 3 Under to wear the firm's clothing as he embarks on a worldwide bid to become one of the biggest names in golf.
According to the company, the partnership is "a strategic move to help both parties reach their goal of success on the international stage".
Gill himself adds that he is under no illusions of how difficult it could be to become a contender in the European Tour.
But he adds: "I believe I have the game to be able to make a good living."
ClearNet previously reported that Gill was hoping to leave the amateur tour in mid-October following the Eisenhower Cup event in Adelaide.
