Golf apparel up for grabs at charity eventGolf apparel is one of the prizes on offer to participants at a forthcoming charity event.

The Steuben Courier reports that the Family Life Annual Golf Classic is set to kick off on June 11th.

Amateurs must pay $100 (£60) to enter the event, funds from which will benefit a number of local outreach programmes.

The registration fee will cover costs for a complimentary golf pack, refreshments and a buffet dinner.

As well as the main 18-hole event, players can participate in a number of contests, including a hole-in-one challenge.

"First place prizes include $100 gift certificates and a variety of golf apparel. Prizes will [also] be awarded to second and third place teams," said the publication.

In addition to the golf clothing, participants can also win a Bose sound system and a high definition television.

Earlier in the month, US golfer Jerry Kelly took to the fairways in a mascot outfit after losing a bet to fellow player JJ Henry over an American football game.
