Golf apparel wearers 'can be more aggressive in match play events'Luke Donald has told golf apparel wearers what he believes are the main differences between match play and stroke play.

According to the world number two, the former offers a completely "different feel" to the latter.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Donald said this is because match play offers him the opportunity to be "more aggressive" than he could be otherwise.

"It's just a little bit of a different approach, which is fun," he commented.

Donald, 33, said he believes his record in recent competitions such as the Ryder Cup and the Walker Cup speaks for itself.

He added that he has been playing consistently well for about six months now, which has left him feeling confident about the immediate future.

Donald, who turned professional in 2001, came out on top at this year's World Match Play Championship and is hoping to perform equally well at the upcoming Volvo World Match Play Championship.
