Golf publication the American Golf Digest has published a list of the top 100 golf courses around the world - with four of Fife's seven courses featuring in the list.Golf fans planning on taking a trip to one of Scotland's famous courses could find it the ideal time to invest in some new golf apparel.
Scotland can be a cold location for teeing off so golfers may find that a golf sweater or pair of golf gloves helps keep the chill out so they can concentrate on their game.
World-famous golf course St Andrews Links Old Course was voted second in the list, with other Fife courses the Castle Course, the Jubilee Course and the St Andrews Links New Course also featuring.
Chief executive of the St Andrews Links Trust Alan McGregor said: "It is a wonderful achievement to have four courses recognised in such a definitive ranking."
