Golf clothing is a "hot seller" on internet auction site eBay, it has been claimed.

Those who enjoy regularly investing in golf clothing to make sure they keep up with the latest golf fashion trends could help boost their golf clothing fund by selling old items online.

Writing for the Examiner, Suzanne Wells said that golf shirts - especially those with Masters logos on them - could prove to be "a hot thrift store item" on auction site eBay.

She said that a few years ago, she made more than $100 for each item of Masters golf apparel that she sold on the site.

"Now, things are a little different, but Masters apparel still sells very well," golf fashion fans were told.

As well as golf shirts, golf fans could also sell golf vests, golf jackets, golf sweaters and golf t-shirts, Ms Woods said.

The Masters tournament is one of the best known golf events on the calendar and is played at the Augusta National golf course in the US.
