Donning golf clothing is just one of the steps a bar's employees are taking to get in the mood for an upcoming event.Staff at the Guilty Bar, official bar for the New Zealand Open, are to wear golf clothing in honour of the approaching competition.
Promotions and event manager Hollis Heidelberg says: "Tournament flags and memorabilia will be used around the bar.
"Our staff will be dressed in golf clothing and our big screen televisions will feature New Zealand Open golf."
Chief executive of New Zealand Golf Bill MacGowan adds that there are aspirations that, in the long term, it may be possible to raise the profile of the event.
A final chance to gain entry into the New Zealand Open is fast approaching and is scheduled to take place on March 9th.
Some 30 amateur golfers are due to compete for places in the Open, with nine other hopefuls on standby should somebody pull out of the qualifier.
