Golf shops targeted by thieves.New golf equipment could be on the shopping list of two golf clubs in Wales which have been broken into recently.

According to Wales Online, thieves who targeted the Whitchurch golf club and pro-shop at the Creigiau club made off with golf equipment and golf clubs worth £35,000.

Detective Constable Chris Hathway said that local people should be on the lookout for people trying to sell cheap golf equipment and golf accessories.

To ensure that they always get the best deal on authentic golf items, golf fans should always buy their golf apparel and clubs from a well-known retailer.

However, the Detective Constable said: "These clubs also have unique serial numbers stamped onto them. We think they will be quite difficult for the thieves to get rid of."

Golfers were recently advised by the New York Times to carefully consider their golf apparel before taking to the course in inclement weather.
