Golf fashion blogger laments Tavistock Cup offeringsA golf fashion blogger has heralded the forthcoming Tavistock Cup by highlighting some of the golf apparel "atrocities" displayed at previous events.

Writing for Chapeau Noir Golf, columnist Mike McAllister noted the offerings worn by players in prior years.

"For some reason hitherto unknown to man, the Tavistock Cup seems to attract the worst in team golf wear, as evidenced over the years by mind-boggling get-ups," he said.

As evidence, Mr McAllister pointed towards the golf clothing worn in the 2008 event, likening the player's uniforms to that of a soccer team.

Similarly, he claimed the football theme continued in the 2009 and 2010 events - and noted the way in which the golfers were reminded of the year by the big number ten on the back of their shirts.

Last year, Mr McAllister examined the previous offerings of Ryder Cup teams - blasting the golf apparel choices of the US side at a number of the transatlantic events.
