Golf fashion critic explores best dressed PGA players listA golf fashion pundit has explored the choices contained in a recent list of the best dressed players in the sport.

Commenting on Jaime Diaz's recent collection of his five best dressed golfers of all time, PGA columnist the Man in the Black Hat claimed the picks were "sometimes unpredictable".

He firstly addressed Mr Diaz's pick of Sir Nick Faldo, noting that the legendary golfer was not "exactly viewed as a trend setter".

The Man in the Black Hat claimed that Greg Norman would make a much better choice as he trumped Faldo in the golf fashion department.

Similarly, he remarked that Mr Diaz's choice of Fred Couples could "easily be bounced" from the list for his part in the rise to prominence of oversized golf clothing.

The Man in the Black Hat concluded that: "In the end, best dressed lists are among the more controversial of all lists, as no raw statistics with which one can build a case exist."

In a previous blog post, the PGA columnist praised the subdued fashion style of US golfer Rocco Mediate at the Frys.com Open.
