Last week's Waste Management Phoenix Open was dominated by blue golf clothing, a writer has noted, which could lead to rafts of players purchasing new golf trousers, sweaters or waterproofs in an attempt to look like the professionals.Writing for GolfWeek, Ashleigh Korzack explained that there were so many golfers wearing the colour that it was "hard to keep track".
Those that played in the shade over the weekend included Camilo Villegas, Ian Poulter, Rickie Fowler and eventual winner Hunter Mahan, who shot a course total of 268 to take home the trophy.
On Mahan's apparel, which consisted of a casual blue golf sweater teamed with dark blue golf trousers, Ms Korzack said: "His outfit was more realistic for all the players at home watching. This is something that any guy could actually wear."
She added that Phil Mickelson, Matt Every, Skip Kendall and Sam Saunders also looked great in their golf fashion during the tournament.
