A golf fashion insider has described the recently unveiled US Ryder Cup team uniforms as "dapper".Likening the uniforms to Arnold Palmer's golf apparel at the 1960 Cherry Hills US Open, PGA Tour golf fashion guru The Man in the Black Hat praised the choices of team captain Corey Pavin and designer Lisa Pavin.
"Think class. Pure Class," he said. "From the minute perspective of a golf fashion writer, Lisa Pavin and her team went above and beyond the call of normal golf apparel duty."
The Man in the Black Hat went on to claim that the classic outfits would be a perfect fit for players such as Jim Furyk, Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar.
However, he also noted that team members such as Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods might not suit the golf clothing.
In a recent blog post, the Khaki Crusader also praised the Ryder Cup outfit's "retro" feel and congratulated Lisa Pavin on her excellent design work.
