Glenmuir unveils 'bionic' golf sweatersGolf apparel manufacturer Glenmuir has unveiled a new range of knitwear, which features "the world's most advanced" weatherproofing finishing technologies.

The Scottish golf clothing firm's new Artic range makes use of its "revolutionary" Bionic Finish system.

This unique technology draws inspiration from nature to control the flow of water over the golf apparel.

Speaking at the launch of the new range, marketing director for Glenmuir Brian Mair spoke about the company's "fantastic" track record for pioneering innovative new ideas.

"Our new Performance Sweaters demonstrate that technical development isn't restricted to polo shirts - where we've extensively used ThermoCool, Hi-Cool and CoolMax moisture management systems," he said.

In addition, Glenmuir has made use of Bionic Finish technology in its 'Emily' sweater, as part of its ladies' performance knitwear range.

Earlier in the year, the golf clothing retailer revealed its Tenby long-sleeved polo shirt for men.
