Golf fashion 'will be big in 2011'The golf fashion industry will grow to new heights in 2011, it has been claimed.

In a recent Bleacher Report article, Will Leivenberg set out a number of predictions for the sport this year.

He cited the recent exploits of American golfer Ryan Moore, whose recent T14 finish at the Masters was eclipsed by his stylish golf clothing - as he mixed a tie with a tight-fitting vest.

Similarly, Mr Leivenberg hailed the golf attire of Graeme McDowell, whose strong performance at the 2010 Ryder Cup was complemented by his choice of golf apparel.

"Style and golf have never been as fundamentally connected as in 2010," he said.

Mr Leivenberg went on to state that Tiger Woods also influenced the rise of golf fashion last year, but noted that many players ignore the typical golf brands in favour of more "mainstream" and "sophisticated" styles.

This comes after Annmarie Dodd named Paula Creamer as the recipient of the Khaki Crusader's best dress of 2010 award.
