A golf fashion writer has examined the 'Cigar Man' sensation.

A golf fashion writer has examined the golf apparel of the individual at the centre of the 'Cigar Man' sensation.

The so-called Cigar Man featured in an image from the Mail on Sunday which has gone on to achieve viral fame since its release.

In the photograph, Tiger Woods looks on anxiously as his chip flies towards the camera. However, the focal point of the image has become the surprising sight of one cigar-sporting onlooker.

Golf fashion blog Chapeau Noir studied the golf apparel of Cigar Man and criticised his clothing choices.

"The 'piece de resistance' is what Cigar Man has chosen to adorned the top of his head with. Is it some manner of turban?" said the writer.

However, it went on to note that, what Cigar Man lacks in golf fashion sense is compensated by his devil-may-care attitude and personality.

In a previous blog post, Chapeau Noir covered the apology from the supplier of the US 2010 Ryder Cup team, which expressed its disappointment at the failure of its waterproofs at this year's event.
