Luke Donald, seen here in pink golf trousers, is feeling confident about his season.Luke Donald has revealed that he is feeling positive about his prospects for the rest of the 2010 season after donning his golf apparel and finishing in second place in the Northern Trust Open on Sunday (February 7th).

The Englishman narrowly missed out on the title by shooting a 14-under-par 270, ending the four rounds at the Riviera Country Club two strokes behind Steve Stricker.

He told press that he was pleased with his performance despite being unable to clinch the victory in the end.

"Obviously no one likes to finish second, but personally it's a confidence boost. It means that I'm going in the right direction and I feel good about my game going into next week," he said.

Stricker now finds himself in second place in the Official World Golf Rankings- a position he held for three weeks in September 2009 - and Donald explained that he deserves his success.

He added that it could not happen to a nicer person.
