Golfing fans could soon be donning their golf waterproofs after it has been revealed that Donald Trump has been given the green light to start work on the golf resort at Menie Estate. The Aberdeen Evening Express has reported that it is expected that work will start "in a matter of days" after Aberdeenshire Council's Formartine area committee approved his earthwork and grass-planting proposals.
With the weather in Scotland often cold and rainy, especially in the winter, people hoping to tee off on the course may want to invest in warm golf sweaters and golf waterproofs to protect them from the elements.
Pictures previously released of the resort showed that it is set to include 500 houses, a hotel, 950 holiday homes, 36 golf villas and two golf courses.
And people may switch their golf apparel for a smart suit and briefcase, after plans noted that there would also be rooms for business conferences.
