Lucas Glover saw off challenges from some of the big names of the golfing world to emerge victorious in this year's US Open. The player, who before the start of the tournament was ranked number 71 in the world, ended on four under par to win the event.
Some of the most famous names in the golfing world, such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, were also taking part, but did not manage to beat Glover's four under.
The game ran through until Monday (June 23rd) - only the third time in the history of the US Open that this has happened, the Times claims.
Glover held his play for par on the last couple of holes to maintain his lead. Three players finished on two under, including world number two Phil Mickelson, while Tiger Woods finished in joint sixth place on even par.
The highest placed contender from England, Ross Fisher, ended in fifth place on one under par.
