Golf course and golf shop forms part of million pound estate up for sale in Hereford.
Published: 10 August 2009
The Belmont Estate in Hereford has been put on the property market, it has been reported.According to Golf Business News, the estate owners are looking to accept offers of between £2.25 and £2.50 million.
The estate, which is on the border of Hereford between Worcestershire and the Brecon Beacons, boasts an 18-hole 6,369 yard golf course and a golf shop, as well as a hotel and a portion of the bank of the River Wye which can be used for salmon fishing.
But the expensive course is probably out of financial reach of most golf fans, who may find that donning their golf apparel and taking to their local course is a more affordable way to spend time.
Ben Allen, from HLL Humberts Leisure, which is handling the sale, said that the estate will be of interest to "lifestyle purchasers, existing golf hotel operators and property speculators", reported the source.
"It will be fascinating to see who acquires this historic property and to watch the next chapter in the estate's history unfold," the firm noted.
The estate is 220 acres and the hotel boasts 30 rooms.
