Paul Lawrie has announced that he feels slightly frustrated with how his recent trip to Qatar and Dubai went, despite donning his golf apparel and playing to a good standard. The Scot competed in the Commercialbank Qatar Masters but missed the cut after shooting a 75 in his first round and a 72 in the second.
He had similar luck in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, he revealed, as he came onto the final two holes of his first round at two-under-par but managed to double-bogey the 17th and bogey the 18th.
Lawrie then narrowly missed the cut by two strokes, despite being pleased with how he played.
"My four week trip has been frustrating as I have missed three cuts with[out] really doing much wrong," he wrote in his blog.
However, he managed to tie for 27th in January's Abu Dhabi Golf Championship after carding a nine-under-par total.
