Glenmuir golf apparel wearer Paul Lawrie looks set to compete in the Barclays Scottish Open despite an injury scare. In golf news that is sure to delight his fans, the Scotsman declared himself fit enough to perform after overcoming a shoulder muscle problem, the Aberdeen Evening Express reports.
The star - who sustained the injury when playing at the BMW International in Germany last week - had earlier been forced to pull out of the Alstom Open de France.
He explained: "The injury is not 100 per cent but it's good enough to play this week."
The tournament is being held at Castle Stuart and will get underway on Thursday July 7th.
Another player hoping to be able to compete in the competition is Ernie Els.
The South African - who, like Lawrie, has won the Scottish Open before - is aiming to overcome a slight back strain that prevented him from playing in the AT&T National event on the PGA Tour recently.
