Golfer dons golf clothing and wins at Disney Classic.
Published: 13 November 2009
English golfer Justin Rose is celebrating his first ever PGA Tour event win, after donning his golf clothing and putting to victory in the Disney Classic. He finally won the event with seven under par with a score of 65, after managing to scoop three birdies in the first five holes of the event.
Second in the event was American golfer Ricky Fowler, with fellow English man Greg Owen donning his golf apparel and scooping third place in the tournament.
Commenting on his win, Rose said: "Although the courses aren't the most difficult in the world, it was tricky out there because of the gusting winds."
When planning on heading to a windy course, golfers may want to reconsider which items of golf clothing they choose from their wardrobe.
A thick golf sweater could be an ideal addition to a golf wardrobe for a windy day, as could a visor to protect golfer's eyes from dust or sand blowing from the bunkers.
