Golfer scoops prize after amazing performanceSpanish golfer Rafael Cabrera-Bello has been awarded The Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the month, it has been announced.

He scooped the award after donning his golf apparel and winning his first European Tour prize in the Austrian Golf Open - in which he pulled off a "stunning final round", noted the European Tour website.

In reward for his efforts, Cabrera-Bello will be given an engraved alms dish and a jeroboam of Moet & Chandon champagne.

Commenting on his win, the 25-year-old golfer said he is honoured to scoop the prize.

"It is a pleasure to see my name there alongside many great players that have won this award in the past and it gives me a lot of motivation and confidence for the future," he said.

Danish golfer Soren Kjeldsen was awarded The Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the month back in April, with Angel Cabrera awarded the prize the month after.
