World number 1, Tiger Woods suffers his worst professional finish.

Woods endured his worst ever professional finishDespite Tiger Woods failing to hit par at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational event, he showed off his keen sense of golf fashion with some interesting golf clothing choices.

As he finished 18 over par, Woods looked resplendent in his fashionable, darkly striped golf shirt.

Coupled with a subdued pair of grey golf trousers and classic white golf cap, Woods placed joint 78th in the Firestone event.

The poor finish could mark an end to Woods' world number one spot, which he has dominated for over 250 consecutive weeks.

It could also mean Woods losing out on his spot in October's Ryder Cup, which this year will be held at Celtic Manor in Wales.

Although the current world number one claimed he had "lots of time" before the Ryder Cup in which to turn his game around, he admitted he would not be much use to the team if his play carried on like this.

The weekend also saw some good results for Phil Mickelson, who continues to stalk the number one spot. After driving into the fairway at the 13th hole, he followed with two birdies before accidentally hitting a fan on the 17th.
