Trump gets outline planning permission on new courseBillionaire property magnate Donald Trump has been granted outline planning permission to add extra land to a new golf course set to be created in Aberdeenshire.

A number of planning applications have been submitted by the Trump Organisation for land that is privately owned, with the latest victory seeing him gain planning permission on four plots owned by Aberdeenshire Council and a number of residents.

In total, the firm sought 50 acres of land under the proposals.

The Guardian noted that the "quirk in Scottish planning law" has allowed Trump to gain the outline planning permission for the land.

The new course is set to include a golfing academy, a five-star hotel and an 18-hole course, so visitors may want to stock up on the latest items of golf fashion before they head to Scotland.

And if visitors are tired after donning their golf apparel and taking to the course all day, they could rent one of the development's expected 950 holiday homes.
