Golf sweaters can be stylish as day wear.

An item of golf apparel such as a golf sweater vest can turn heads on and off the course, it has been claimed.

Writing for the Columbia Tribune, Caroline Dohack says that the golf sweater vest has previously been worn by people such as Payne Stewart.

She goes on to say that such items look fine dressed down with jeans for when golf fans are not on the course.

However, those who like to wear their golf apparel on and off the green could be wise to remember that colour coordination is important.

Ms Dohack writes that going over the top and matching too many items of clothes could ruin the look.

Golfers taking to a golf course to be built in Scotland could find that an item of golf apparel such as a golf sweater is the ideal buy to combat the chill.

A course is currently under construction outside of Aberdeen and is the brainchild of billionaire property developer Donald Trump.
