Golfer loses lead again in final round.

Golfer Steve Stricker has finished just one stroke behind Phil Mickelson in the Northern Open Trust.

Reuters reports that the event must have left a bittersweet taste in the mouth of Stricker as he was two ahead with two holes to play.

The site notes that he "narrowly missed" a birdie.

Stricker has seen bad luck in the final round of golf events before, leading to him losing his advantage in a tournament.

"I'm happy that I'm putting myself in those positions to try to win golf tournaments but I'm also disappointed I haven't won one of them or maybe both of them. So it's good and bad," he said.
