Golfer John Daly is fast becoming known for his quirky and brightly coloured golf apparel - from flowery golf trousers to eye-catching checked creations.

Golfer John Daly will not take part the next US Open after he did not make it through qualifying.

Daly shot a one-over 143 in two rounds on the course, which left him some way from the qualifying scores that would have seem him play in Tennessee.

Commenting on his on course golf apparel, a CNN sports writer notes that Daly took to the course in blue and white checked golf shorts.

Daly recently returned to the world of professional golf after being banned for half a year by the PGA Tour.

Daly has made headlines due to his penchant for colourful golf clothing this year, with pictures showing him wearing highly coloured trousers seen in several publications.

Included in Daly's on course wardrobe of golf apparel so far this year are black trousers with a tropical flower design and a pair with an eye-catching red, grey and white checked diamond pattern.
