On course apparel of golfer is "dull".
Published: 05 March 2009
Golfer Geoff Ogilvy's golf apparel could have come straight from a "teenage section of a clothing store", according to one sector commentator.Writing for a blog on Supersport, website user "Retief on golf" says that while Ogilvy is "clearly a tremendous player", this is not so obvious when his golf fashion is observed by those watching him play.
According to the blog, the player wears golf hats which are too big, golf shirts with floppy collars and "ill-fitting and un-ironed" golf trousers.
The writer says he often notices Ogilvy's "dull" appearance when he takes to the golf course to tee off.
However, his golf fashion credentials may not be that questionable, as many reports have noted his extensive wearing of Puma golf apparel in recent tournaments.
Ogilvy has won three World Golf championships and the US Open.
He has also recently been voted the European Tour's golfer of the month for February.
