Golf news: Golf event selling fast, golfers urged to snap up tickets

Those planning on giving a golf loving friend or relative tickets to the 150th Anniversary Open Championship at St Andrews as a festive golf gift may want to make sure they buy their tickets soon.According to the Open's website, tickets for the event should be purchased before next Monday (December 14th) to make sure that they arrive on golf fan's doorsteps in time for Christmas.
At next year's event, there are a number of new places for golf fans to enjoy when they don their golf apparel and head to the world famous golf course.
The Royal and St Andrew's director of championship David Hill said: "Railway Club tickets and the Railway Stand are a new initiative for 2010 and would make a great present. The stand will give spectators fantastic views as players drive from the new 17th tee over the famous railway sheds."
The 150th Anniversary Open Championship is set to take place in July next year.
