Golf apparel could be a good buy for a golf party.

As people near retirement, they often "dream of relaxing on the golf course", notes one photography firm - which also offers a number of tips for those planning on throwing a golf-themed retirement party for a loved one.

Adesso Albums, which makes guest books and photo albums, says that after "decades of work" it is the wish of many to don their golf clothing and spend their days teeing off.

"With the right party planning, you can help celebrate this milestone event in style" by having a golf party, the company says.

The site advises party throwers to start with golf clothing, saying that as golf apparel is known for loud colours and patterns, guests could be encouraged to wear "clashing and outrageous" golf clothing.

Golfer Ian Poulter, who owns a golf apparel line himself, is often noted for his on-course golf apparel, which is frequently brightly coloured and eye-catching.
