Ian Woosnam showed he is not afraid to try out bold golf fashion trends by sporting a diamond pattern jumper at a recent event.

Senior golf pro Ian Woosnam showed off a stylish golf fashion ensemble during preparations for the Handa Senior Masters at Stapleford Park.

The Glenmuir-sponsored player teamed white shoes with smart black golf trousers and topped the outfit off with a light blue men's knitwear jumper, which featured a bold diamond pattern on it.

He showed of this elegant get-up as he and former Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance warmed up to take part in the event.

Before the competition, Woosnam told local paper the Melton Times that he is trying to enjoy himself as much as possible currently, because he feels like the Senior Tour is getting more difficult.

"There are a lot more younger guys coming on to the tour who are a lot fresher over the years and it is going to get tougher and tougher."

The Handa Senior Masters was eventually won by Bill Longmuir, who received a prize pot of £400,000.
