Retief Goosen may have been feeling uncomfortable in his golf clothing in recent months after a string of near-wins turned into losses.

The normally cool Retief Goosen may have been sweating in his golf clothing this year, as sports news site Betting Pro notes his final-day nerves in a number of tournaments.

Following declining putting skills, the site argues that Goosen "also appears to have lost his nerve" in recent months.

With six tournaments lost on the final day during the second half of 2009, the player may have had more than a little reason to feel hot around the collar of his golf clothing.

Betting Pro adds that the development seems incredible in light of Goosen's previous status as "the epitome of cool under pressure".

Goosen's own official website lists the items that he carries in his golf bag to help keep him comfortable.

They range from golf waterproofs to a varying amount of water, which changes depending on where in the world he is playing and the local weather conditions.
