Italian-style golf apparel is set to be big in 2011, it has been claimed.

Golf apparel based on Italian style is set to be a fixture of trends in 2011.This is according to Khaki Crusader columnist Annmarie Dodd, who recently claimed both men and women's golf clothing has been affected by the influence of the country.
In menswear she noted a trend towards "an Italian sporting gentleman thing", while in the women's department she observed the rise of patterns that remind her of the nation's Riviera.
"There seems to be a distinct trail of Italian luxe details weaving its way into men's and women's golf wear for 2011," Ms Dodd said.
She went on to examine the ways in which the country's style differs from that in the UK and claimed the main difference is the former's mix of "active pieces" and "sartorial-leaning" golf apparel.
German golf clothing was recently the subject of much discussion after Martin Kaymer turned up to the WGC Accenture Match Play Championships wearing a scarf-like fixture known as a buff.
