John Daly has been praised for his golf apparel by one source, but not everyone seems to agree with this viewpoint.

A writer has described the golf apparel worn by John Daly as spectacular, while reserving special attention to one particular pair of trousers.Writing for Sports Grid, Glenn Davis picked out an outfit worn by the American during The Open at St Andrews recently, which saw the player kitted out in blue men's knitwear and a pair of strange golf trousers.
He noted that Daly shot a six-under 66 on the day, just three more than the leader at the time Rory McIlroy.
But Mr Davis pointed out that the player always has the potential to be absurd and the amoeba-shaped design on his purple golf trousers were certainly that.
"Whatever they are, they're spectacular and we hope he continues to top himself fashion-wise throughout the week," wrote the author.
Meanwhile, the Independent was not quite so kind about Daly's golf fashion sense, describing his ensemble as "terrible", even if it does liven up the golf course during competitions.
