A university golfer has explained the importance of golf apparel.

Senior university golfer Kevin McCrossin has revealed his golf apparel preferences in a recent interview.

Writing for the Fife Free Press, sports columnist David Hardt spoke to the local sportsman about his experiences playing the sport at university level.

McCrossin revealed the importance he places on stylish golf apparel and claimed it was always his goal to look his best on the course.

"The only ritual I really have is taking time to look sharp while playing. I have some very golf attire - however, I haven't broken out the pinstriped shorts just yet," he said.

McCrossin went on to lament the fact that the university leagues had few supporters who turned up to events and claimed this was due to the distance required for spectators to travel.

His comments echo the sentiments of PGA professional Brian Gay. He recently revealed that he was "extremely picky" about his golf apparel in a PGA article.
