The Open has produced some testing weather conditions for the professional out on the links, but Louis Oosthuizen fought off the cold with the appropriate golf apparel.Although he wore a smart purple striped performance golf shirt on top, he ensured that he did not feel chilly by sporting a white, long-sleeved turtleneck underneath.
He combined this stylish look with a pair of light golf trousers and took the lead from Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy halfway through the second day of the prestigious Scottish competition with a score of 67.
This gave him a three-shot lead over McIlroy, but the youngster is due to play this afternoon.
"I knew I needed to keep calm throughout the round because I knew it was going to be a tough day and I'm very, very happy," commented Oosthuizen.
The South African is competing against a plethora of stars at the Old Course at St Andrews for a share of the £4.8 million prize pot.
