New golf accessory could be an ideal golf giftA new golf accessory could be the ideal accompaniment to high-tech golf clothing, for those players who like to stay a step ahead of the rest of the golf pack.

GPS manufacturer Sureshot has launched its new 8850 Golf GPS golf accessory, which can be carried in the hand and claims to be able to measure distances within one yard of accuracy.

Golfers can use the device to measure the distance to greens and other on-course features, such as hazards, dog-legs and lay-ups.

Managing director of Motocaddy Rod Brown, the company set to distribute the device in Europe, said that the golf accessory has a number of unique features.

It can measure driving distance, sand saves, putts and fairways hits, it is commented.

"We have invested heavily in innovative and extremely accurate mapping technology to ensure that all our distance readings are incredibly accurate," Mr Brown went on to say.
